Thank you

This entire journey began before I knew I would be pursuing a Kansas House seat. Whether I was the candidate or not, I committed myself to being part of this year’s election on the campaign trail as a volunteer and donor. When we knew the 67th Kansas House seat would be open, my husband and I made the decision together to launch this campaign after a month of prayer and being poured into and recommended by community leaders.

This decision was based on the calling I have to advocate for and invest in a community that has invested so much in me. It is important to me that Manhattan is represented by someone who is an accurate reflection of what Manhattan truly is — a community that puts disagreements aside, finds the logic when discussing solutions to problems, and prioritizes the betterment of our future.

That being said, I am overtly aware that running a campaign takes time and money, so I want to start by saying thank you to those who volunteer their valuable time, and donate their hard-earned money to this civic cause. You can take pride in knowing that your dollars will be spent wisely, and no decision to spend them will be made carelessly. My ledger is an open book, and I promise transparency to all voters. We can’t win this race without your help, and I certainly can’t express my gratitude with just words.
